Chase Your Dream
David Gossett, 35, is an American professional golfer who just earned himself a spot in the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2. To remind you of who Gossett was, he was the kid you couldn’t miss at the 1999 U.S. Amateur and was the star player on the University of Texas golf team. In addition, his first PGA win was at the John Deere Classic.
“I’m going back to the drawing board to see what I need to do to take my game to a tournament setting, not just on a practice tee or around town,” Gossett said at the time.
As he found out that he earned himself a spot in the Open, an old friend asked him what he was doing these days. “Still chasing my dream,” Gossett said.
All he needed was a stage to show his game and to prove that he was ready for a tournament setting. Here at Shining Rock, we are ranked by New England Golf Monthly as number one for best public golf course. With 6,735 yards of championship tees, our course will have you having the best comeback in your golf career like David Gossett did at the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst.
