J.B. Holmes, the All-American professional golfer from Campbellsville, Kentucky, has been committed to the great game of golf from a young age. With a final round 71 and 14 under par total, Holmes won his first PGA Tour event in six years this weekend on a medical exemption. By winning the Wells Fargo Championship at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, Holmes qualifies for next weeks Player Championship, the US Open, Open Championship, PGA Championship, next years Masters and most importantly the PGA Tour for the next two years!
After turning professional in 2005, Holmes began to suffer from vertigo symptoms and underwent brain surgery in 2011. Besides dealing with head trauma, he has conquered through elbow and ankle injuries in 2013. Holmes persevered throughout and the hard work paid off with his new PGA Tour title.
